my Integrated Studio Final Project

I love my skirt!!!!!!!

I'm almost done with it, and bascilly it looks like the same  as the result.

My theme is Sea because it is about personal story.

I'm from Taiwan, and it is an island, so it is all about Sea and Ocean:)

I spent a lot of time on them, and they turned out good.

I am so happy with that!!!!!

week 14: Let's go ice-skating!!!

It is in Bryant Park, and one time I was on my way to New York Public Library, I saw there were many people were ice-skating. Actually, I have never tried this activity in my life, so I don't even know how does it feel when I wore the shoes and stood on the ice. Omg.... That sounds exciting to me!!!!! Maybe I would scream all the time or stand on the sides to hold the railings. Even though it seems hard to me to learn, I still believe that ice-skating is gonna be so fun!!!!!!

The Christmas tree is next to the ice-skating area.

And it is really huge(in the picture, there are four people, so you can see the proportion)

Although there is not a lot decoration on the tree, the tree is still has its own life for Christmas!!!

Everyone who was there at that time had the happiest moment in that day.

So did I !!!!!!

week 13: the joyful event

It was in the central park, and there were so many people around to join the performance. Well... maybe it was more like a show that the guy was making HUGE bubbles. They were really big like a little kid's tall. You could see that people who were looking at the guy playing bubbles were with happy smile face.

I think that the reason why I stayed there and joined them. Felt relax....

The bubbles were so adorable!!!! Everyone there was waiting for this joyful moment.

Week12: The Painted Trees

It is getting cold, and it is the time to say good bye to summer.
One sign of the changing season is the golden trees. Leaves are falling down from the trees.
Before they fall, the green leaves turn into golden. How pretty and romantic is that?

Here it is.

The colors are so beautiful.

The thing is that it is a cold weather, but these leaves are warm color: red, yellow, orange...etc

So I feel warm in my mind, and it maked me calm.

I think that is important for people who have a lot of stress.

Even though I just stayed there for five mintues, I felt like I stayed there for five hours.

It was totally surprising me!!! How ramantic it is.

There were many people who like reading, chatting, and relaxing around these trees.

They know it was so comfortable, so they would like enjoying the atmosphere

rather than go find a coffee shop to stay.

I know they made a good decision.

week 11: The wall

I'm interesed in pattern and fabric since I have learned a litle bit about them. As usual, I was walking around Union Square, and once I was looking for things that are interesting, I found the wall of the building. The structure of it is really normal, and there are rectangular windows, and everything is in order. However, I found the difference between the builing and others.

The wall of this building has kind of the dark parts and gradually turns into lighter parts, and it has the gradient color in between. I immediately thought of the fabric with gradient color, and I can use it to make dresses and even use it only as a sleeve. There are a lot of choices to me, and I think it is going to be good!!!!! 

week 10: Silver Status

There are many status around us, and almost all of them are not painted on silver. Therefore, I was surprised that there is one silver status on Union Square. It totally got my attention!!! It is silver, not grey, brown, or white!! So the silver makes the status looks shinny and unique. I think it is really cool.

So I was researching about fashion in silver. I found out silver is really cool in garments! They look like so different and personality. Silver can shows personality very well. We can stand out from other people, and they are going to be cool at the same time!!!!

week 9: Srtipes

 

I like stripes. When I was passing by the Anthropologie cloth store, they were changing their decorations of the store, which is super pretty and easy to be noticed. It was composed by tons of different colors of long plastic lines. Because it was created by plastic lines, it looked shinny, so it gave the whole display volume a lot.  

Then, I thougnt of the designer Henry Holland's new collection for 2012, which is also stripes, but the  point is the stripes are also colorful, not monochroic.Also, the stripes go different directions, so it makes the stripes clothesmore interesting.
